Todd J. Stetz, 54, Moorhead, MN, died unexpectedly on Friday, February 20, 2026.

Todd Jonathan Stetz, known to many as “Toad” or “Tippy”, was born August 11, 1971, in Moorhead, MN, to Robert and Loretta (Motschenbacher) Stetz. He graduated from Moorhead High School in 1990 and was proud to be part of the Spuds championship football team in 1987.

Following high school, Tippy began his career at Northern Pipe Products in Fargo and worked there 29 years before retiring.

An avid sports fan, Todd enjoyed watching the Moorhead Spuds, Minnesota Twins and Minnesota Wild compete. His favorite past time was fishing. If Toad wasn’t working, he was working a lake chasing the elusive walleye. He didn’t like being outfished by anyone in his boat, however, if you were catching fish, you couldn’t wipe the smile off his face.

Family was everything to Todd or “Toad” as his family affectionately called him. He was always present, from family holidays, to watching a game, and was blessed to be part of his nieces and nephew’s lives and was proud of the young adults they were becoming.

Todd will be deeply missed. He is survived by his four sisters, Sally (Steve) Gruver, Sara (Sean) Chapman, Trisha (Allan) Friedt and Susie (Brett) Meline; one brother, Tim (Sue) Stetz; nephews, Zachary (Madison) Gruver, Alex (Noelle) Gruver, Jack Stetz, Luke (Dayne) Chapman, Adam Chapman, Grant Chapman, Brady Meline and Dylan Meline; nieces, Katie Ressemann and Julia Stetz; great-nephew, Mason Gruver; and his best-bud, Scott Brekke.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and one sister, Jane Stetz.

A gathering of family and friends will be Sunday, March 1, 2026, from 2pm-4pm, followed by a Celebration of Life at 4pm in Korsmo Funeral and Cremation Service of Moorhead.
