Steven James Seaburg, 66, of Moorhead, MN, passed away Monday, June 1, 2020, in Sanford Hospital in Fargo, ND.
Steven was born, February 8, 1954, to Beverly (Presting) and Eugene Seaburg, in Moorhead. He grew up in Dilwoth, MN. Steven graduated from Dilworth High School in 1972 and went on to attend Moorhead Technical College for electronics. He worked for Sanford Fargo in Bio-med electronics for most of his career.
On June 5, 1976, Steven married Phyllis at Hedemarken Lutheran Church in Rothsay, MN. Together they raised two sons. Steven was a loving husband, father, and all-around friend. He will always be remembered for finding ways to make others around him smile. Whether it was a simple piece of candy tossed your way, the level of antics he would go to when playing jokes, or the time he would take just to share a story or simple conversation. He loved hunting, fishing, and was always polishing up on new ways to be the best grandpa for his two grandchildren.
Steven is survived by his wife, Phyllis; sons, Shaun (Laurel Wessman) and Joshua (Kourtney Holloway); grandchildren, Avery and Nora (Shaun and Laurel's children); sisters, Deb Seaburg (Mark Covey), Kim (Scott) Brewer; sister-in-law, Lynnette Seaburg; In-laws, Russ and Barb Dewey, Maury and Jan Fjestad, Peter and Becky Fjestad; as well as his many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Eugene and Beverly, and brother, Jeff Seaburg.
Due to Covid-19 gathering restrictions a private family service will be held on Saturday, June 6, 2020. Video of the service will be on our website within a few days following the service.
Burial will be at 2:30 PM on Saturday in Hedemarken Lutheran Cemetery, Rothsay, MN, near Fergus Falls, MN. Address for the burial is 13208 300th St. Rothsay, MN.
