Shirley L. Radtke

Shirley Loanne Radtke (Bentley) passed away at Sanford Hospice House in Fargo, ND, on August 22, 2026, at the age of 88. Born on January 29, 1938, to Ervin and Theodora Bentley, Shirley grew up on various farms near Twin Valley alongside her three brothers. Her lifelong passion for music was evident in her love for playing the piano and singing. Raised in the Lutheran faith, she remained a dedicated believer in Christ throughout her life.

After graduating from Twin Valley High School, Shirley married Eugene Radtke. Together, they raised their two sons on the family farm near Mahnomen, MN, before relocating to Moorhead in 1979. Shirley enjoyed a fulfilling career working in retail in various places, including Herberger's and Walmart, retiring in 2011. She and Eugene shared 65 years of marriage until his passing in 2021.

Shirley is lovingly remembered by her sons, Steven of Fargo, ND, and Mark (Karen) of Glyndon, MN; five grandchildren, Shannon Radtke, Tracy Liesmaki, Jennifer (Brandon) Aabye, Amanda Radtke, and Teresa (Tyler) Ekren; eight great-grandchildren; and her brother, Eldo Bentley of Ada, MN.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Eugene; daughter-in-law Kari, and two brothers, Curtis and Roland.

A Celebration of Life will be held for Shirley, on Monday, August 31, 2026, at 6:30 PM, with a visitation one hour prior, in Korsmo Funeral and Cremation Service, Moorhead, MN.
