Shirley Mae Hanson was born on February 15, 1936, in Steele, North Dakota. She was the daughter of Leo and Ocea Koester. She grew up in Steele where she married Tom Adams in June 1953. Tom and Shirley had 4 children, Colleen, Dave, Shelly, and Holly. She later married Andrew Hanson in August 1976.
Family and friends will remember Shirley for not wanting to miss out on any fun and she was always ready for an adventure. Shirley had an infectious laugh, strong faith in her Lord and Savior, and deep love for her family and friends. Most importantly she lived her life to the fullest every day.
She is survived by her children Colleen Fuller, Dave Adams (Donna), Shelly Falcon (Bill), and Holly Stotts (Chaney); grandchildren Chelsea and Erin Fuller, Jennilee Buckman (Keith), Justin Adams (Chantel), Dave Weishoff (Meaghan), Joellen Volbrecht (Travis), Jessica McMorris (Ryan), and Chaney Stotts Jr (Katie); great grandchildren Presley, Chloe, Charlee, Sophia, Harvey, Eloise, Graham, Aubree, Aliyah, Reagan, Margaret, Klayton, and Clementine; brother, Roger (Jan) Koester, sisters Crystal Paige, Sandra (Dennis) Stulz, and Jan Maurstad. Preceded in death by her parents, brother Kenneth Koester, husband Andrew Hanson, son-in-law Alan Fuller, brother-in-law Gene Paige, brother-in-law Gary Maurstad, grandson Baby Boy (Little Harv) and great grandson Stetson Stotts.
She will always be forever in our hearts.
Her funeral service will be held on Monday, March 10, 2005, at 11 am at Grace Lutheran Church in Caldwell, Idaho preceded by the viewing beginning at 10 am. A Funeral Service for Shirley will be held on Friday, March 14, 2025, at 1 pm at Dilworth Lutheran Church with a visitation one hour prior to her service. She will be laid to rest in Moorhead Memorial Gardens, Moorhead, MN. All are welcome to attend to celebrate Shirley’s life.
