Shelley R. Vigesaa, 53, of Glyndon, MN, passed away Friday, August 5, 2022, in Essentia Health, Fargo, ND.

Shelley R. Hartzburg was born December 7, 1968, in Willmar, MN, the daughter of Robert and Doris (Page) Hartzburg. She was raised in Willmar and graduated from Willmar High School in 1987. Shelley then attended Willmar Community College and received her AAS in Liberal Arts. It was during that time Shelley began teaching as Pre-school teacher and taught in Willmar for many years.

On April 4, 2004, she was united in marriage to Martin Vigesaa in Moorhead, MN. They made their home in Moorhead before moving to a home in the country near Glyndon. She continued teaching pre-school in Moorhead and has been a teacher at Juniors Center for Children since 2008.

She and Martin attended Triumph Lutheran Brethren Church, Moorhead.

She was an amazing cook, loved working in her flower gardens and making quilts with her mother-in-law, Sylvia. Shelley also loved entertaining and spending time with family.

She is survived by her husband, Martin; mother-in-law, Sylvia Vigesaa, Moorhead; sisters, Kathy Klassen, DeGraff, MN, Karen Schneider, Willmar, and Kelly (Brian) Burgdorf, Vernon, FL; brother, Tony (Beverly) Hartzburg, Willmar; brother-in-law, Torrey Vigesaa, Detroit Lakes, MN; and several nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; grandmother, Emma “Granny” Hartzburg; brother-in-law, Dale Klassen; and nieces, Mary Beth and Angela.

A Celebration of Shelley’s Life will be 2:00 PM, Tuesday, August 16, 2022, in Triumph Lutheran Brethren Church, Moorhead. Family and Friends may gather one hour prior to the celebration.
