Sharon K. Strandlien Hanson

Sharon Kay Strandlien was born June 16, 1946, in Moorhead, MN, to Ernest and Edna (Lund) Strandlien.  Sharon was raised in Moorhead where she graduated from high school. 

Sharon worked as a CNA at Elim Home, Fargo, for twenty-nine years and then at Fargo Walmart until she retired due to medical reasons. Sharon married Ronald Hanson on October 28, 1978, at Trinity Lutheran Church in Moorhead.  Ron preceded her in death on February 5, 2008.

Following Ron’s death, Sharon resided at Eventide the Fairmont in Moorhead, Serenity Assisted Living in Dilworth, MN, and eventually to Eventide on Eighth in Moorhead in February of 2022.  Sharon died Friday, March 31, 2023, at Eventide on Eighth, at seventy-six years of age.

She is survived by her brother, Harold (Joan) Strandlien, Moorhead, and several nieces and nephews.  In addition to her husband, Sharon was preceded in death by a niece, Barbara, and a nephew, David. 

Visitation for Sharon will begin at 10 AM, with a Celebration of Life service at 11 AM, Saturday, April 8, 2023, in Korsmo Funeral and Cremation Service, Moorhead.  There will be a lunch and a time for visiting following the service.
