Sadie Jane Harrop

Sadie Jane Bacon was born on June 9, 1972, to Thomas Dean and Kimberly Dallas (Johnson) Bacon in Anoka, MN. At a very young age she went to live with her Uncle Vern and Aunt Connie Bacon, and they raised her. She was an only child.

During her lifetime she lived in several communities around the USA including some in Oregon and Minnesota. She worked retail for many years including Kmart in Fargo and used her cooking talents to work at the Brig Restaurant in Battle Lake, MN.

She enjoyed crafting in her later years, building wishing wells, picture frames, and boxed lanterns out of wood. She loved to bejewel everything she could get her hands on. She also started crocheting and making homemade hand soaps to sell. She had a longtime 4-legged companion named Shadow.

She fought illness for the last few years of her life, when she began journaling her thoughts, and focused on her faith.

She is survived by a daughter Amber Harrop (Bryan Canetti); four grandchildren: Bella, Jayce, Grayson, and Hudson.

She was preceded in death by her parents and adoptive parents.

Sadie died on Saturday, August 22, 2026, at her home in Moorhead, MN.

A service was held to honor her life. She was laid to rest in Riverside Cemetery, Fargo, ND. Korsmo Funeral and Cremation Service served the family in their time of need.
