Ruth Kingsbury

Ruth Mary Young, daughter of James Young and Mary Larson Young, was born in Ashland, Wisconsin, on February 14, 1906.
Ruth was married to Cecil Richard Kingsbury in Minneapolis, MN, on July 20, 1923. Following their marriage, Ruth and Cecil lived in Minneapolis, and later in Columbia Heights, MN. Ruth enjoyed a 30 year career working for the Minneapolis branch of the Dayton Company. She retired in 1981.
After retirement, Cecil and Ruth moved to Naples, FL, where they enjoyed life together through their 75th wedding anniversary. Cecil died on August 24, 1998. Following his death, Ruth lived with her children when she wasn't at her Naples address.
In April of 2003, Ruth moved to The Evergreens Assisted Living, and in December of 2003, she became a resident of Eventide Lutheran Home. Both residences are located in Moorhead, MN.
Ruth died at Eventide on January 19, 2004, at the age of 97.
She is survived by four children, Cecil R. (Babe) Kingsbury Jr., Houston, TX, Jean E. Scott, Buffalo, MN, James E. (Betty) Kingsbury, Orlando, FL, and Willis (LaVerne) Kingsbury, Moorhead, MN. Ruth is also survived by a sister, Marie (Richard) Zegland, Mi
A private memorial service will be held at the Kelly (Brian) Haugrud home to honor the memory of a beloved matriarch.
