Robert "Bob" L. Gerke

Robert “Bob” L. Gerke, 85, of Moorhead, MN, passed away on Monday, February 9, 2026, in Sanford Medical Center, Fargo, ND.

Robert “Bob” L. Gerke, the son of the late Frank and Alice Gerke, was born on April 20, 1940. Bob graduated from Dilworth (MN) High School before furthering his education at Moorhead State College (MSUM), where he majored in elementary education with a minor in library science.

Bob dedicated thirty-four years to education, teaching in public schools in Breckenridge, MN, Dilworth, and Moorhead. In addition to his teaching role, he also served as the librarian for the Moorhead Migrant Program.

Bob is survived by his siblings, Darlene Fisher, Fargo, ND, Gary (Marna) Gerke, Lindstrom, MN, and Sharon (Clifford) McGinnis, Maplewood, MN, and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, and brother-in-law, Patrick Fisher.

A Gathering of Family and Friends for Bob will begin at 1:00 PM, March 14, 2026, followed by a Celebration of His Life at 2:00 PM, in First Presbyterian Church, Moorhead, MN. He will be laid to rest in Riverside Cemetery, Moorhead.
