CHANGE OF DATE FOR RICHARD'S GATHERING OF FAMILY AND FRIENDS

Richard “Dick” J. Hall, 83, of Moorhead, MN, passed away on Wednesday, March 25, 2026, in Vibra Hospital, Fargo, ND.

Richard “Dick” John Hall was born August 8, 1942, the son of John and Marjorie (Ranger) Hall in Fargo, ND. Raised in Moorhead he graduated from Moorhead State University Campus School and then attended Moorhead State University as a music major. Dick then began his professional career working for Overvold Motors in Fargo.

It was during this time that he met Pat Johnson, and they were united in marriage on August 29, 1964, at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Moorhead. The couple first made their home in Moorhead, where they started their family. Dick worked for Dakota Plate and Glass. This job would lead them to Minot and then back to Moorhead where they established their permanent home. Dick then joined Pittsburg Paints as a sales representative serving for twelve years. Following this, he managed Camelot Cleaners and Sweeney Cleaners until his retirement. Even after retiring, he remained active, working at Menard’s in Moorhead.

Dick was actively involved with the Shrine Circus. In his leisure time he also liked to hunt and do woodworking. He and Pat shared a passion for gardening, cultivating many beautiful flower gardens, together. As a family they enjoyed fishing and camping together and took several trips including to the Black Hills and Wisconsin Dells. Dick also took great pleasure in feeding all the squirrels and birds in his yard. Over the years, Dick and Pat enjoyed the companionship of three beloved Dachshund dogs all named “Heidi”.

He will be dearly missed by his wife of almost 62 years, Pat; son, Rich (Corinne Shanahan) Hall, Minnetonka, MN; a daughter, Ann (Joel) Anderson, West Fargo, ND; grandchildren, Cassandra (John) Swier, Sioux Falls, SD and Ezra Anderson, West Fargo; and great-grandchildren, Audrey and Madison Pulse and Tyson and Ryker Swier.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

A Gathering of Family and Friends for Dick will be Friday, April 10, 2026, from 2:00 PM until 4:00 PM in Korsmo Funeral and Cremation Service, Moorhead.
