Phyllis E. Jarvis

Phyllis Elaine Wheeler was born August 22, 1931, in Ulen, MN, the daughter of Clayton and Evelyn (Iverson) Wheeler. Phyllis grew up around Hitterdal and the Hawley, MN, area. She attended schools in Hitterdal and Moorhead, MN, where she graduated in 1950. On November 4, 1953, Phyllis married Robert Jarvis in Glyndon, MN, and they made their home in Moorhead.

Phyllis worked at First National Bank in Moorhead, Hornbachers in Fargo, ND, and Osco Drug in Tucson, AZ. Phyllis and Robert were married for forty-nine years. He passed away in 2002. Phyllis and Robert had many happy years together.

Phyllis and Robert had two children together, Jim Jarvis and Gene Jarvis. Jim passed away in 1998. He had one son, Paul. Paul is married to Ann, and they have three beautiful children, James, Avery, and Dawson. Gene has two daughters, Sara Cickavage and Andrea Jarvis. Sara has three children, Sophia, Molly, and Eli. Andrea is engaged to be married on June 21, 2019, to her fiancé, Adam Sullivan. Phyllis has two brothers, James and Mike (Jackie) Wheeler; and two sisters, Marilyn (Ed) Dewald and Sharon McGill.

Phyllis died Thursday, March 7, 2019, in Eventide on Eighth, Moorhead, at eighty-seven years of age. We are comforted knowing that Phyllis is now at peace in heaven with the family members she loved so dearly.

Visitation for Phyllis will be from 1 - 2 PM, with the funeral at 2 PM, Thursday, March 14, 2019, in Korsmo Funeral Chapel, Moorhead.
