Patrick E. Fisher

Patrick “Pat” E. Fisher, 87, of Fargo, ND, formerly of Jamestown, ND, passed away on Tuesday, January 20, 2026, in Eventide Fargo, Fargo, ND.

Patrick Eugene Fisher was born January 28, 1938, the son of Eugene and Frances (Fitzgerald) Fisher, in Tacoma, WA. He spent his early years in Puyallup, WA, his formative years in Hunter, ND, and his high school years in Bismarck, ND. In October of 1956, Pat enlisted in the U.S. Air Force, serving proudly and honorably until his discharge in December of 1959.

Following his military service, Pat furthered his education at Bismarck Junior College for two years, before earning a degree from the University of North Dakota in Grand Forks in 1964. Pat would then launch his successful banking career at First National Bank in Moorhead, MN, where he met and fell for the love of his life Darlene Gerke.

On February 19, 1966, Pat and Darlene were united in marriage and initially lived in Moorhead. In 1970, they moved to Jamestown, ND, where they established their home and raised their sons, Steve, Mike and Chris and daughter, Jennifer. Upon moving to Jamestown, Pat continued his successful banking career at Stutsman County State Bank (now Unison), where he eventually retired as President in 1997.

After retirement, Pat and Darlene embraced life at their lake home in Hackensack, MN, where Pat served as the gambling manager for the Lions Club. In 2018, they relocated to Fargo to be closer to family.

In his leisure time he enjoyed golfing, sailing, reading and cherishing moments spent with family and friends.

Pat is survived by his wife of 60 years, Darlene; sons, Steve, Mike (Jean) and Chris (Leigh); daughter, Jennifer; eleven grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and brother, Tim (Terry) Krueger.

He was preceded in death by his parents, twin brother, Charles and sister, Linda.

A Gathering of Family and Friends for Patrick will begin at 1:00 PM on February 13, 2026, followed by a Celebration of Life at 2:00 PM in the Centrum at Eventide Fargo.
