Norma O. Sittko

Norma O. Sittko, Moorhead, MN passed away on Monday, December 13, 2021, in Bethany on 42nd, Fargo, ND.
Norma Olive Restad was born February 16, 1925, to Henry and Clara (Nolting) Restad at Ada, MN. She attended rural schools in the Park Rapids, Hendrum, and Twin Valley areas in Minnesota and graduated from Twin Valley High School in 1942, then took a business course at Aaker's Business College in Grand Forks, ND
On June 30, 1943, she married Fred Sittko of Ada and they farmed in the Ada and Ulen, MN areas until moving into Lake Park, MN in 1968. Fred passed away in October of 1981 and Norma continued to reside in Lake Park until moving to Moorhead in 1993.
Norma was concerned about others and cared for several pre-school children in her home and was always ready to assist and drive for elderly relatives, friends, and neighbors. She worked as a substitute for multi-county nursing out of Detroit Lakes at times. She enjoyed raising flowers and vegetables and kept up her yard and property the year around.
Norma attended Bridgepointe Community Church of the Nazarene and was so grateful to God for the salvation that Jesus provided by His substitutionary death on Calvary's cross for her and for all who will come to faith in Him. She marveled at the magnitude of God's love, and forgiveness. For years, meeting with a group of ladies for Bible study and prayer, often in her home, brought joy and blessing.
Norma is survived by numerous nieces and nephews, and her sister-in-law, Betty Restad. Also surviving are close friends, ever since their family moved in across the street from the Sittko's in Lake Park, when they were 1 ½ years old: twin brothers, Shon (Melissa) Naslund, Minot, ND and Shane (Rebecca) Naslund, Bismarck, ND.
She is preceded in death by her husband; sisters, A. Irene Hanson and Erma Haugen; brother, Donald Restad; and nieces and nephews, Agnes Corcoran, Eldon Haugen, Claudia Jensen, Gerrit Plate, Sandra Sittko, and Renea Stimach
Visitation for Norma will begin at 9:30 am, Monday, December 20, 2021, followed by her funeral service at 10:30 AM, in Korsmo Funeral Chapel, Moorhead. Burial will be in the Ada Cemetery, Ada.
