Megan N. Garcia-Ochoa

Megan N. Garcia-Ochoa, 32, of Moorhead, MN, passed away Friday, March 3, 2023, in her home. 

Megan Noel Garcia-Ochoa was born on April 25, 1990, to Michael Ochoa and Veronica Garcia in Fargo, ND. She was raised in Moorhead where she graduated from Moorhead High School in 2008. Megan fell in love with Steven Rendon, and together they had two children, Jaydah and Jaxson. Megan was a momma first and adored her kids, they were her world. Megan was a sweet gentle soul that loved her family and friends.

Megan was inspired by music and loved to sing and dance. In high school she was a part of Raices De Mexico (folkloric dance) and developed lifelong friendships through the program. Megan had a great sense of humor and had a contagious giggle that lit up the room. 

Megan is survived by her children, Jaydah and Jaxson Rendon; father and step-mother, Michael and Brandi Ochoa and her mother’s life partner, Samuel Garcia; siblings, Tori Garcia, Danielle Ochoa, Nicolas Ochoa, Isabela Ochoa, Cierra Ochoa, Charlize Ochoa and Saphira Ochoa; grandparents, Robert and Margot Garcia, and Marlin and Linda Schiefert; aunts, Eva Garcia, and Wendy Garcia; Priscilla (Kyle) Schiefert, uncles, Roger Garcia, Theodore Milz, Louie (Tanya) Ochoa and Bernabe (Jessica) Ochoa.  Megan is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and other family and friends. 

She was preceded in death by her fiancé, Steven Rendon; mother, Veronica Garcia; uncle, Robert “Rudy” Garcia; cousin, Robert “Robbie” Garcia; her paternal grandparents, Louis and Lola Ochoa and friend Sarah Guerrero.

Megan’s Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, March 17, 2023, at 11 AM, in St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church, Moorhead, with a visitation one hour prior.
