Mary E. Weekly

Mary E. Weekly, age 86, of Moorhead, MN, passed away on August 5, 2026, at Eventide on Eighth in Moorhead.

Born Mary Elizabeth Robinson on February 3, 1940, in Hannibal, MO, she was the daughter of Joseph and Elizabeth Robinson. After completing her education at Hannibal High School, she married James L. Weekly on December 26, 1960. Together they shared 52 cherished years. As a devoted Air Force wife, Mary embraced life on various bases across Washington, DC, England, Utah, Missouri, Nebraska, and Minnesota, ensuring each felt like home.

An active member of the Junior Women's group in Papillion, NE for over two decades, Mary also dedicated herself to leading Girl Scout troops. Her passions included gardening, crafting, and spending time with family. She treasured her cats, Pete and Repete, and cared deeply for her backyard wildlife, nurturing a wounded robin named Ruby for 11 years.

Mary will be remembered as a devoted wife, and a loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She will be remembered and deeply missed by her two children, Betsy (Darren) Dreessen, and Jim Weekly; four grandchildren, Elizabeth Dreessen, Livvy Dreesen, Briana Weekly, and Emilie Andrews; four great-grandchildren, Khloe Daub, Klaire Daub, Edwin Andrews and Easton Look; niece Terry Robinson and nephew Ed Robinson.

She was preceded in death by her parents; and one brother, Jim Robinson.
