Mary P. Altobell

January 6, 1912 — February 15, 2004

Mary Patricia Oliver, the daughter of Frank A. and Domenica (Perzichilli) Oliver was born on Jan. 6, 1912, at Cumberland, WI. The family moved to Dilworth, MN, when Mary was 5 years old, and she grew up and received her education in Dilworth.
On Oct. 31, 1937, Mary was united in marriage to Joseph D. Altobell, at Dilworth. They made their home in Dilworth. Mary worked as a beautician in the FM area, as a hostess at local nightclubs and cafes and at Tempo, a Moorhead retail store.
Mary received great joy from her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She loved gardening and flowers, and had many beautiful flower gardens at their lake home on Floyd Lake. Mary and Joe loved to play golf and to dance. They went dancing at least twice a week until they were in their eighties. Mary felt good about being dressed up, and always wore lovely hats, to church and elsewhere. She was affectionately known as the "hat lady" to many fellow parishioners.
Her husband, Joseph, died on May 26, 2001. After his death, Mary continued to live in Dilworth.
Mary P. Altobell died on Sunday, Feb. 15, 2004, at MeritCare Hospital, South University Drive campus, in Fargo, ND, at the age of 92. She was preceded in death by her parents, three brothers, several brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law.
Mary is survived by two sons, Anthony (Kathryn) Altobelli, Dilworth, and Rocco (Dianne) Altobelli, Eagan, MN; sisters, Anna Zeuli, Anaheim, CA, and Rachel (Duane) Campbell, Fargo; brothers, Josef (Vaughnie) Olivieri, Fargo, and Thomas (Audrey) Oliver, Dil
