Marlys I. Plymale, 75, Fargo, ND, died Monday, Jan. 5, 2004, at MeritCare Hospital, Fargo.
Marlys Ione Mousseau, the daughter of George and Frieda (Olson) Mousseau, was born Sept. 20, 1928, in Fargo, where she grew up and received her education. She graduated from Fargo Central High School in the mid-1940s. As a young lady, she enlisted in the US Army and served until her discharge in January of 1952. While in the service, she was married to Robert Hardage.
Marlys returned to Fargo, where she had lived, except for a short time in Georgia. On Feb. 14, 1958, Marlys married Donald W. Plymale.
In 1970 Marlys moved to Christine, ND, and returned to Fargo in 1974. Marlys worked at the Piggly Wiggly Grocery Store in north Fargo, and from 1978 to 1983, as a security guard at Hector Airport in Fargo. She retired in 1983 and continued to live in Fargo.
Marlys is survived by two daughters, Kathy (John) Selisker, Bemidji, MN, and Laurie (Paul) Hempel, Christine, ND; a son, Donnie Plymale, Christine; seven grandchildren and one great-granddaughter.
Memorial service: Thursday, Jan. 8, 2004, at 1 PM
