Mark L. Hanson Sr., of Dilworth, MN, passed away peacefully Tuesday, November 30, 2021, in Sanford Health - West Campus, Fargo, ND, at the age of 79.

Mark Lamarr Hanson, a native of Redfield, SD, was born at home on July 24, 1942, to Carl Norwood Hanson and Loree Theda-Marie Hammond. Mark was loved by many, but none more than his siblings, children, and grandchildren.

He moved to Casper, WY, in January of 1963 and spent most of his life there. For a living he sold/managed RV dealerships in Casper, Concord, CA, Las Cruces, NM, and St. Cloud, MN. He enjoyed traveling in many different motorhomes and was always the first to volunteer when a long-distance trip was needed to deliver the new coach, and return in the trade-in.

Mark loved music and singing, especially as an Elvis Presley impersonator. He enjoyed playing, watching, and attending sports and loved to discuss many subjects and enjoyed his long talks with Aunt Char, after plates of gravy covered anything. Mark's love for friends and family will not soon be forgotten, nor will the tremendous patience and love from his brother, Kimley Todd!

He is survived by his children, Mark Lamarr Hanson Jr., Heath Michael Hanson, Shauna Lynn (Chris) Smith, and Kristofer Lars (Skylit) Hanson; blessed with eight grandchildren, Emily Catherine Burke-Smith, Logan Lamarr Hanson, Ethan Patrick Smith, Leo Shane Hanson, Kaydence Aislynn Hanson, Kendelle Marie Hanson, Khloe Rene-Bryce Hanson, and Kason Lars Hanson; brothers, Gaylord Heber Hanson, Rex Lanny Hanson, Randall Norwood (Verna) Hanson, Kimley Todd (Char) Hanson; sisters; Linda Lou Ferris, Penny Lee (David) DeJean, Debbie Sue (Chuck) Warfield, and Mara Zoe Mager; and is also survived by countless nieces and nephews, every one of which held a special place in his heart.

Mark was preceded in death by his parent; son, Michael Shane Hanson; brother, Tab Scott Hanson; and sisters, Dana Jill Hanson, Loree Ann Hanson and Lovell Noreen Dahl.

A special thanks to Serenity Assisted Living (Elaine Anderson, her staff, and Paul Gade) for the Godsend love and care that was given to Mark in his final year.

A Gathering of Family and Friends for Mark will be Friday, December 10, 2021, from 5:00 PM until 6:30 PM, with a 6:30 PM, Prayer Service in Korsmo Funeral Chapel, Moorhead, MN.

His Memorial Mass will be Saturday, December 11, 2021, at 10:00 AM, in St. Joseph Catholic Church, Moorhead.

Burial will be in Lakeview Cemetery, Columbia, SD.
