Lorraine A. Edwards

Lorraine A. Edwards, 90, of Fargo, ND, formerly of Wolverton, MN, passed away Wednesday, July 1, 2026, in HIA Heather’s House, Fargo.

Lorraine Ann Lammers was born August 16, 1935, the daughter of John and Anna (Hoppe) Lammers in Sabin, MN. She was raised at Sabin where she received her early education before graduating from Moorhead High School in 1953. Following high school, she attended Moorhead State University for one year before working for Northwestern Bell Telephone.

On December 28, 1955, Lorraine was united in marriage to Dennis Edwards in Sabin. Together, they established their home on a farm in Deerhorn Township, near Wolverton, MN, where they raised their family and farmed. After Dennis passed away on July 27, 2002, Lorraine continued to live on the farm until relocating to Fargo in 2004. For the past decade, she has resided at Edgewood Vista in Fargo.

A dedicated longtime member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Sabin, Lorainne actively volunteered with the ladies’ aide.

Lorraine enjoyed hobbies such as crocheting, quilting, making t-shirt blankets, gardening, canning, and was an avid bowler. She also enjoyed accompanying her husband, Dennis, on fishing and hunting trips and cherished spending time at their lake cabin on Big McDonald Lake. Above all, she loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.

Lorraine is survived by her children, Connie (Mike) Kava, Cape Coral, Fl, Cathy (Don Worcester) Kava, West Fargo, ND, Cheryl (Colin) Solum, Fargo, Caren (Alan) Stearns, Rochert, MN, and Randy Edwards, Detroit Lakes, MN; grandchildren, Elizabeth (Andrew Cashin) Kava, Katie (Brad) Swanson, Jill (John) Tillish, Amanda (Derek) Burris, Stefaine (Kelly) Blilie, Corey Solum, Clay (Chloe) Solum, Catlin Solum, Kelly (Cassandra) Dillon, Jenna (Anna) Dillon, Autumn (Lee) Mack, Cass (Sydney Spomer) Edwards and Grant (Taya) Israelson; great-grandchildren, Emma Kava, Landry and Avery Swanson, Isabelle and Christian Tillish, Hudson and Nash Burris, Braden and Brynn Blilie, Rowen, Dennin and Greer Solum, Treyson and Blake Dillon and Riley Dillon; sisters-in-law, Dorothy Brakke and Beatrice Iken; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Dennis; daughter, Joni Lynn; sister, Lorentein Pake; and brothers, Clarence Lammers, Leonard Lammers and Donald Lammers. 

A Visitation for Lorraine will begin at 10:00 AM, Friday, July 10, 2026, followed by her Funeral Service at 11:00 AM in Trinity Lutheran Church, Sabin, MN. She will be laid to rest in Trinity Lutheran Cemetery, Sabin.
