Lori L. Hovdestad

Lori Hovdestad ,60, of Moorhead, MN, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, June 22, 2022, surrounded by her loved ones.

Lori was born to Eman and Leona (Diemert) Hejlik on January 21, 1962 . Lori grew up in Lawton, ND, then moved to Grand Forks, ND, where she finished her schooling.

At 18 Lori married and started her family. Lori's biggest passion was taking care of her family. She always said she loved being a mom. She also had several other passions; she loved to craft, paint, garden, garage sales, spend time with friends, and volunteer for her kids’ activities.

Lori met and married the love of her life, Anthony Hovdestad in 2002. Lori and Anthony enjoyed attending gun shows together, family game nights, cachinking and just spending time together. Lori also LOVED doing anything with her grandkids.

Lori is survived by her husband, Anthony Hovdestad; three children, Susan (Christopher) Langerud, Gabrielle Russell, and Johnny (Rene, Krista) Russell; two grandchildren, Colton and James; sister, Patty Peterson; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her father, Eman Hejlik; mother, Leona "Billie" Hejlik; brother, Mike Hejlik; sister, Cathy Hejlik; father-in-law, Robert Hovdestad; mother-in-law, Ann Hovdestad; sisters-in-law, Bert Hovdestad and Carol Sellent. She was also preceded in death by two nephews.

Lori’s funeral service will be on Wednesday, June 29, 2022, at 11 AM, in Korsmo Funeral Chapel, Moorhead, MN, with a visitation one hour prior to the service.
