Lloyd K. Grasto

January 3, 1945 — March 1, 2025

Fargo, ND

Lloyd Kenneth Grasto, age 80, Fargo, ND, father to Jay and Jeff Grasto, earned his wings on March, 1, 2025.

Lloyd was born and raised in Jamestown, ND, to Carl and Beulah (Sender) Grasto.  While in the Guard, Lloyd learned to weld and he was a damn good welder up until his retirement.

Very early on in his young adult life, he gained the love of racing. He began in hobby stocks and very quickly became a top driver in the area and had much success along the way. He later challenged himself to achieve another level of racing, sprint cars.

During the summer months, he traveled all over the Midwest chasing the dream of winning races. To say he loved racing was an understatement as he sacrificed a lot and gave 150% to strive to be the best. Although Lloyd never reached the national level, which today is known at “The World of Outlaws”, he along with a number of his peers really tore up a lot of tracks and of course, cars.

In addition to racing, Lloyd loved to spend time having coffee with his buddies at the Country Kitchen/Valley Kitchen in Fargo. Later, after Valley Kitchen closed, the local hangout was McDonald’s. The guys could sit and talk for hours about anything and everything.

In addition to his sons he is survived by his brothers, Gene (Jeanette) Grasto of Fairbanks, Alaska and Bob (Della) Grasto of Jamestown, ND; and a sister, Marilyn (Jake) Gahner of Mesa, AZ.

No Services will be held at this time.
