Linda J. Magnuson, 75, of Fargo, ND, died Thursday, August 6, 2020, in her home.
Linda Joann Anderson was born January 25, 1945, the daughter of Joe M. and Ethel (Moe) Anderson in Fargo. She was raised on the family farm at Perley, MN, where she attended elementary school. In 1963, she graduated from Hendrum (MN) High School and during her last two years there, she began her long secretarial career working for Principal RD Johnson.
In July of 1963, Linda was united in marriage to Earl Magnuson and they had one daughter, Rhonda who died at birth. They were married for several years but later divorced. Linda went on to work for several businesses in the Fargo/Moorhead area as an executive secretary, her last position being with AgCountry Farm Credit Services in Fargo for over 20 years.
Linda was a member of Kirkebo Lutheran Church, Perley. She enjoyed baking and spending time with her family and friends.
Linda is survived by her brother, Donald "Skip" Anderson, Osage, MN; sisters, Alice Dosland, Fargo, Irene Mathison, Melbourne, FL, Carol (DuWayne) Lydeen, Kennewick, WA, Gladys (Allan) Richards, Hastings, MN, and Marlys Guttormson, Fargo; brother-in-law, Tommy Todd, Hendrum; sister-in-law, Deb Magnuson, Lake Park, MN; many nieces and nephews including her godchildren, who meant so much to her, Micki (Rick) Antoine, Lori (Bryan) Tharp, Chris Taylor and Jason Magnuson; and a large extended family and many friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; daughter, Rhonda; infant brother, Lloyd Leroy; sisters, Darlene Todd and Diann Renshaw; brothers-in-law, Thormon Dosland, Dick Mathison, Larry Renshaw and Andy Guttormson; special sister-in-law, Trecie Anderson; nieces, Pam Renshaw and Heidi Helland; and her ex-husband and friend, Earl Magnuson.
