Lee Vidger, age 96, Fargo, ND, died Sunday, September 26, 2021 in Bethany on University, Fargo.

Leola Joyce Lindsay, known to all as "Lee," was born in Absaraka, ND, on August 24, 1925, to George and Ruby (Zieske) Lindsay. At the age of 8, Lee moved with her family to Mahnomen, MN, where she grew up and graduated from high school. She then attended North Central College in Minneapolis, MN. She made her home in Fargo and worked as a secretary at NDSU.

On September 15, 1948, Lee was united in marriage to Harry Vidger, in Moorhead, MN. They made their home in Fargo, and Lee worked beside Harry in the family business, Vidger Decorating. She retired in 1986.
Lee's faith in Jesus was an important part of her life, and she was a very active member of Bethel Evangelical Free Church for 60 plus years. Next to her faith, her family was at her core. She was a "fun grandma" and did countless activities and events with her children and grandchildren. Since she grew up with very limited means, she taught the importance of family and friends.

Lee enjoyed several hobbies including painting china and making porcelain dolls. She also enjoyed making her own greeting cards. She volunteered for United Blood Service for 24 years picking up blood at blood drives throughout the state and also volunteered many years at Elim Home, first fixing ladies' hair and then managing the coffee and gift shop. For 25 years she golfed in first Choice Clinic's fundraiser and had many offices and duties at Bethel Church with the children and women's groups during her 60 plus years there.

Lee and Harry traveled extensively and took several cruises. Some of their fondest memories included visits to her ancestral home of Ireland and Scotland and Harry's ancestral home of England and Wales. A holy land visit, which included wading in the Dead Sea and communion in the garden of Gethsemane was very special. They climbed the Great Wall of China, visited Hiroshima in Japan, attended the passion play in Germany, and explored Australia and New Zealand.

Her loving husband, Harry, died on January 7, 2019. She was also preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Ronald, Russell, and Cecil Lindsay; and sisters, Mavis Casey, Beatrice Brusven and Harriet Lee.
Lee is survived by her children, Larry (Roxanne) Vidger, Maplewood, MN, Sonja (Robert) Hillner, Shakopee, MN, Bryan (Michelle) Vidger, Fargo, and Beverley (John) Furrow, Rock Hill, SC; grandchildren, Lindsay (Will) Donovan, Rachel (Darin) Fuchs, Caleb (Emily) Furrow, Joshua Furrow, Katie Hillner, Arianna Vidger and Lance (Marie) Vidger: and great-grandchildren, Jude and Liam Donovan, Deliah and Dylan Fuchs, Hayden and James Furrow, and Hannah and Ryan Vidger.

Memorials preferred to Women's Care Center, 103 N University Dr., Fargo, ND 58102 or Samaritan's Purse/Donor Ministries, PO Box 3000, Boone, NC 28607.

The funeral service for Lee will be Friday, October 8, 2021, at 1 PM in Bethel Evengelical Free Church, Fargo. Visitation will be the hour prior to the funeral.
