Kathleen "Kathy" M. Knutson

Kathleen Marie Knutson, known to everyone as Kathy, 67, Moorhead, MN, died unexpectedly, July 1, 2021, in Sanford Medical Center, Fargo, ND.
Kathy was born November 12, 1953, in Moorhead, MN, to LeRoy and Marie Tweten. She was raised and attended school in Glyndon, MN, graduating in 1972. Kathy was united in marriage to Robert Knutson on November 18, 1972. Kathy and Robert established their home in Glyndon and started a family. They had 3 children together, Sheri, Trent and Trisha.
In addition to being a busy mother of three, Kathy worked in various jobs over the years. Her employment included many roles in customer service and banking.
Kathy enjoyed sewing, cross stitch, playing bingo and Candy Crush, reading, watching TV game shows and spending family vacation time at the lakes. Kathy had an amazing love for animals, and over the years enjoyed nurturing many cats and dogs.
Kathy was a devoted wife, loving mother, aunt, grandmother and great-grandmother. She loved her children and nieces and considered her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, "her greatest gift in life."
Kathy will be remembered and missed by her husband, Robert "Bob" Knutson of Moorhead; three children, Sheri (Jim) Koch of Anoka, MN, Trent (Stacey) Knutson of Moorhead, Trisha (Rick) Keller of Strasburg, ND; grandchildren, Brittney (John) Wychor, Brandon (Leah) Herbst, Ben Herbst, Ashley and Bryce Knutson; great-grandchildren, Elliot and Jackson Wychor, Taylan and Aidan Pixler and Kehlani Auerbach-Herbst and Mason Herbst; her parents, Roy and Marie Tweten of Glyndon, MN; siblings, Wayne (Kelly) Tweten of Glyndon, MN, and Lori (Jeff) Devier of Dilworth, MN; and one brother-in-law, Rick (Edi) Knutson.
She was preceded in death by her father-in-law and mother-in-law, Alfred and Bernice Knutson.
A gathering of friends and family will be held Thursday, July 8, 2021, in Korsmo Funeral Chapel from 5pm-7pm with a 7pm Prayer Service. A Celebration of Kathy's Life will be Friday, July 9, 2021, at 11am in Korsmo Funeral Chapel.
