Julane E. Carter

Julane E. Carter, 85, Moorhead, MN, passed away on October 11, 2018, in Eventide on Eighth, Moorhead, from a chronic lung condition.

Julane Eunice (Richter) Carter was born April 18, 1933, to Herbert and Eunice (Carpenter) Richter (both deceased); younger siblings are Gale Richter (deceased), Janet Ruud of West Fargo, ND, Judy Johnson of Fergus Falls, MN, and Gary Richter (Carol) of Waxahachie, Texas.

She married Robert E. Carter (deceased) February 18, 1952. Children are Jim of Lolo, MT; Paul (Eloise) of Moorhead, MN; Marcus of Isabella, MN; Karmon of Springfield, OR; and Nathan (Sue) of Thompson, ND. There are 11 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren, and 5 great-great-grandchildren. She proclaimed often that her kids were the greatest blessings the Lord gave her.

She thrived on church activities that nourished her soul into her 80s. Ministering to the needs of others came naturally to her by assisting immigrants to transition to life in America, supporting foreign missions, standing up for others with less means, and writing legendary letters of encouragement. She was an accomplished seamstress, gardener, dog lover, and avid reader.

Visitation will begin at 10 AM followed by a Life Celebration Service on Saturday, October 20, 2018, at 11 AM in Salem Evangelical Free, 1002 10th Street S, Fargo, ND.
