Joshua Allen Lovell

Joshua A. Lovell, 42, of Moorhead, MN, passed away on Monday, June 22, 2026, in Sanford Medical Center, Fargo, ND.

Joshua Allen Lovell was born on July 13, 1983, to Kenneth “Butch” Lovell Jr. and Cynthia (Mullen) Lovell, in Iowa City, IA. Josh grew up in Keokuk, IA and Ceder Rapids, IA. After high school he moved to Minnesota and went on to work in construction. On February 14, 2004, Josh was united in marriage to the love of his life, Jodi Jones. Together they made their home in Moorhead and raised three kids.

Josh loved doing many hobbies with history. He often took the boys camping. He also enjoyed riding bikes, driving the remote-control cars , playing football , and shooting hoop to name a few.

Josh is survived by his wife of 22 years, Jodi Jones-Lovell; children, Isaac, Kegan and Ethan; mother, Cindy Lovell; brothers, Eric (Nicole) Mullen, Terry Lovell, Gary (Amy) Lovell, Kenneth (Michelle) Lovell III, Steven (Khela) Lovell, Justin Lovell; sister, Kelly (Kendall) Hogan; parents-in-law, Tim and Pam Collette; and many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great- nephews.

He was preceded in death by his father, Kenneth “Butch” Lovell Jr.
