Jeffrey Alan Loe, 58, of Georgetown, MN, passed away peacefully August 29, 2021, surrounded by family, under Hospice care at Evergreen Ecumen, Moorhead, MN. Jeff was blessed to have his children, Ryan and Amber, Cheryl and his Aunt Helen care for him during his illness.
Jeff, the oldest of two boys, was born on April 3, 1963, at St. Ansgar Hospital in Moorhead to Alan and Kaye and grew up on the Loe family farm in Georgetown, MN. After graduating from Hendrum-Perley High School, he attended Moorhead Area Vocational Technical Institute and graduated as a Diesel Technician.
Jeff spent most of his life working as a mechanic in different shops around the area. He also drove trucks and semis through the harvest seasons for family and friends over the years. He was the Fire Chief of Perley and not only fought fires but was a First Responder for the Perley area as well. His last career employment was as a Quality Control Specialist at XPO Logistics.
His love of racing, as a driver, as a pit crew member and flagman, took him to many races at the Red River and the Buffalo River Speedways. Lately he had been working as a custom painter as Loe's Custom Chrome. He also enjoyed painting as a hobby.
Jeff is survived by his brother, Darin (Lisa) Loe of Maryville, MO; his children, Hillary Anderson of West Fargo, ND, Katy Loe of Frazee, MN, Ryan Loe of Georgetown, and Amber Loe of Hendrum, MN; grandson, Korbin Anderson; nieces and nephews Abigail, Macy and Cooper Loe; and many cousins.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Alan and Kaye Loe.
A Memorial Service will be held on Friday, September 3, 2021, at 11 AM, with visitation beginning at 10 AM, in Kirkebo Lutheran Church, Perley, MN. Burial will be held in Kirkebo Lutheran Cemetery, Perley.
