Janet Phyllis (Possehl) Swang, 91, Monticello, MN, formerly of Moorhead, MN, died on Thursday, August 12, 2021, with her family at her side.
Janet was born on May 13,1930, to William and Marie (Antolik) Possehl. After graduating from Barnesville, MN High School, she went on to work for Northwest Airlines, W. W. Wallwork Ford, and Moorhead Public Schools.
Janet married the love of her life, Gordon Swang, on April 8, 1961. They built their life together in Moorhead. She enjoyed spending time with her children, grandchildren, and great- grandchildren.
Janet is survived by three daughters, Michelle (John) Loomans, Minneapolis, MN, Leisa (Brad) Sohler, Monticello, MN, and Jennifer (Kevin) Riskevich, Shakopee, MN; eight grandchildren, Sam, Claire, and Jane Loomans, Audrey (Eric) Freihammer, Aaron (Amanda) Sohler, Loren Sohler, Abigail and Kendall Riskevich; and 5 great- grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Gordon; and sister, Dorothy Williams.
Memorials may be sent to St. Croix Hospice or the Alzheimer Association.
A small private service was held in Janet's honor.
