James T. Giedt, 78, Glyndon, MN, died Saturday, March 5, 2022, in Moorhead Rehabilitation and Healthcare in Moorhead, MN.
James Theodore Giedt was born June 2, 1943, in Fargo, ND, to Theodore and Lydia (Blumhardt) Giedt. He graduated from Glyndon High School in 1963. Following high school, James enlisted with the United States Army and served overseas until his honorable discharge on January 18, 1967. Upon his return, James went to college, earning his automotive degree.
James worked for Ames Sand and Gravel for many years in their maintenance department. In his spare time, James enjoyed trading stocks and following Wall Street. He also grew a large garden and shared his produce. He was a member of the Glyndon Congregational Church in Glyndon and once served as church treasurer.
He is survived by his sister, Gloria Elwess; along with three nieces, Tanya (John) Malley, Dawn (Adam) Dorrington and Crystal (Seth) Rumler.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
