Eva Mae Lamb

Eva Lamb, age 88, passed away peacefully in her home in Barnesville, MN on Friday, September 19, 2025.

Eva Mae Euteneuer was born on November 27, 1936, in Holdingford Township, Stearns County, MN, the baby of 16 children to Henry and Mary (Ricker) Euteneuer. After graduating from Holdingford High School in 1954, Eva worked as a secretary at Honeywell in Minneapolis, where she met David Lamb. Dave and Eva were married February 9, 1957, in Holdingford, MN and lived in Minneapolis until 1958, when they moved to Moorhead, MN. In 1965, they moved to Barnesville, MN. Eva was a stay-at-home Mom until 1968 when she went to work as part-time bookkeeper at the J.H. Fisch Co. In 1970, she began working at Atkinson Elementary School in Barnesville where she worked for 27 years, retiring in 1997.

Eva was a member of the Assumption Catholic Church and St. Ann’s Guild. She was also a Life Member of the VFW Auxiliary and a Member of the American Legin Auxiliary in Barnesville. She enjoyed playing cards at the Senior Center and enjoyed times with family.

Eva is survived by her four children: Barb (Terry) Tumberg, Wadena, MN; Craig (Pam) Lamb, Chaska, MN; David (Melonee) Lamb IV, Carlos, MN; and Gary (DeAnn) Lamb, West Fargo, ND; grandchildren: Kevin (Courtney) Tumberg, Cory Tumberg, Nicole (Nate) Madsen, Kyle (Courtney) Lamb, David (Lindsey) Lamb V, Andrew (Megan) Lamb, Jacob (Angela) Lamb, Brienna (Cami) Sells, Heidi (Ben) Tillman, Cory Fleck, Justin Fleck, and Joshua Fleck; great grandchildren: Helene, Sloane, Norah, David VI, Charles, Isla, Agnes, Bryce, Andrew, Hadi, Cael, Hayden, and one brother Melvin (Julie) Euteneuer. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband David “Jug” Lamb III in 2017, siblings: Victor (Bernice) Euteneuer, Froney (Paul) Frie, Ceta (Gerry) Williams, Agnes (John) Karpinski, Mary (George) Posch, Clara (Marvin) Pylka, Marcella (Bill) Dierickx, Erma (Ambrose) Fautsch, Lorraine Euteneuer, Roman (Edna) Euteneuer, Elmer (Catherine) Euteneuer, Edwin (Ann) Euteneuer and Urban (Marie) Euteneuer.

Mass of Christian Burial will be 11:00 AM, Wednesday, September 24, 2025, at Assumption Catholic Church in Barnesville, MN with Father Todd Arends presiding. Burial will follow in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Barnesville, MN.

Visitation will be held 5-7 pm, Tuesday, September 23, 2025, at Assumption Catholic Church in Barnesville, MN with a Prayer Service at 7:00 PM. Visitation will continue for one hour prior to the funeral service.
