Eloda "Ellie" Holsen

Eloda "Ellie" Mae Holsen, 93, of Moorhead, MN, passed away Wednesday, July 21, 2021, surrounded by her family, in Sanford Medical Center, Fargo, ND.
Eloda Mae Eidsvold was born on August 21, 1927, to Henry and Inga (Lund) Eidsvold, in Valley City, ND. Ellie grew up in Fargo, where she completed her education. On January 1, 1947, Ellie married Orville Holsen. Together they made their home in Moorhead, where they raised six children.
Ellie was a very creative and artistic person. She often spent her time painting, creating beautiful jewelry, and crocheting blankets and baptism outfits. She always enjoyed going dancing and playing cards and games. Ellie had an artistic gift and was always finding new ways to be creative.
Ellie was a very social person. She loved her family and friends and always enjoyed the time she could spend with them. She was also incredibly proud of her family. She loved taking trips to Mexico and spending time at their lake home, which was her favorite place to be other than Mexico. There was always family at the lake home to enjoy it with her.
Ellie is survived by her children, Karen Lindsey, Brenda (Bill) Windt, Kristi (Jim) Horn, Randi (Jerry) Riddle, Larry (Terri) Holsen, Konni (Joe) Bergseid; 16 grandchildren; 45 great-grandchildren; and 11 great-great-grandchildren. She was preceeded in death by her husband, Orville; grandson, Andrew Windt; great-grandson, Waylon Solum; siblings, Irene Agnew, Duane Eidsvold, Ruth Eidsvold, Willis Eidsvold, and Raymond Eidsvold.
A visitation for Ellie will be held on Sunday, August 1, 2021, from 5 PM- 7 PM, in Korsmo Funeral Chapel, Moorhead, MN. Her funeral service will be on Monday, August 2, 2021, at 11:30 AM, in Trinity Lutheran Church, Moorhead.
