Edmund A. Johnson

Edmund Albert Johnson was born October 6, 1933, in Fargo, ND, to Edmund W. and Patty (Vote) Johnson. He attended school in Fargo, graduating from Fargo Central High School, North Dakota State School of Science, North Dakota State University, and California Western University.

Edmund married Vivian Krogh August 30, 1952, in Fargo. Ed served four years in the US Air Force, two of those years in Japan. He retired from the Air National Guard with twenty years of service. Ed started his career with the US Postal Service after his tour with the Air Force. He retired as Postmaster in West Fargo, ND, in 2002, with fifty years of combined service.

Ed passed away Wednesday, November 21, 2018, at Rosewood on Broadway, Fargo, at eighty-five years of age.

Ed and Vivian did much traveling over the years and spent many good times at their lake home on Cotton Lake, with family and friends. He always enjoyed family get-togethers.

Ed was preceded in death by his parents; in-laws; and several aunts, uncles and cousins.

He is survived by his wife, Vivian, Fargo; brother and sister-in-law, Stan (Mary) Krogh, Fargo; nieces, Heather (Eric) Swenson, Hollie (Alec) Grande, and great-niece, Sophie Swenson, which he thought the world of.

Funeral Service will be Monday, November 26, 2018, at 10:30 AM, in Hope Lutheran Church, North Campus, Fargo.

Visitation will be one hour before the funeral.

Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery Mausoleum, Fargo.
