Doris Virginia Olich, 92, Moorhead, MN, died Thursday, February 25, 2021, in Eventide, Fargo, ND.
Doris was born April 4, 1928, in Moorhead to Leslie and Clara (Myers) Olich. She graduated from Moorhead High in 1946. Doris was married to Harold Hilde and to this union they had five children. During Doris's working career, she worked as a nurse at NDSU Health Center for over 23 years. Later in life, Doris married Don Ames.
Doris enjoyed the outdoors, traveling, and doing family genealogy. In the summer months, she spent many hours tending to her garden. Doris had a strong faith and was a loving mother and grandmother.
She is survived by her children, Bruce (Ahn) Hilde, Hal Hilde, Mark (Mary) Hilde, and Janice Hanstine; grandchildren, Dearmina (Nick) Gustafson, Lena Hilde and Nils Hilde; one sister, Mary (Jerry) Horstman; and two brothers, Paul (Gail) Olich and Leslie (LuVerne) Olich.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Leslie and Clara Olich; her two husbands; one son, David Hilde; one granddaughter, Misha Hanstine; and siblings, Harvey, Allan, Della, Charles, Thora June, David, Eugene, Janet, and Laura
