Dennis L. Olson

Dennis L. Olson, 60, of Underwood, MN, died on Friday, January 3, 2020, in Sanford Health Broadway Campus, Fargo, ND.

Dennis was born June 16, 1959 in Mankato, MN, to Paul and Roberta (Lawson) Olson. The family moved often, and Dennis started school in Jamestown, ND and graduated from high school in Whitehall, MT. After some college in Minnesota Dennis decided to move to Stillwater, OK, where he met Tammy Courtright. They were married December 26, 1982. Dennis and Tammy returned to Minnesota with their two young children to help his parents run a ginseng farm by Stalker Lake.

After a few different jobs, Dennis decided to start a lawn care business because he enjoyed working outside. Dennis took pride in his work and was eager to help his community with his handyman talents.

Dennis enjoyed driving around the country just to sightsee, and especially loved to ride his motorcycle. Dennis and Tammy would often go camping and four-wheeling through the woods. He loved to hunt with friends and fish with his family. Dennis had his favorite restaurants and especially enjoyed a good buffet. He made day trips to the casino with friends to play and of course, hit the buffet.

Dennis is survived by his wife, Tammy; children, Elizabeth (Troy) Turchin of Elizabeth, MN and Seth (Amber) Olson of Underwood, MN; grandchildren, Ethan and Jackson Turchin, Audrey and William Olson; parents, Paul and Roberta Olson of Fergus Falls, MN; sister, Vicki (Greg) Robbe of Malo, WA; and aunts, nieces and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Felix and Elizabeth (Ferguson) Olson, and Seth and Gladys (Stinert) Lawson.

A Gathering of Friends will be Tuesday, January 21, 2020 from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM, with a 6:30 PM Service of Remembrance, in Messiah Lutheran Church, rural Underwood, MN.
