Delores M. Leach

Delores Leach, 91, Glyndon, MN, passed away peacefully Thursday, July 4, 2019, in Eventide on Eighth, Moorhead, MN.

Delores Mae Lass was born September 12, 1927, in Sabin, MN, to William and Minnie (Loebrick) Lass. She graduated from Moorhead High School.

Delores was united in marriage seventy-three years ago, to Irvin Leach, on June 26, 1946, at Trinity Lutheran Church, Sabin. Delores began working at the Glyndon Highway Host restaurant, as a cook and baker. She continued there for seventeen years.

In 1978, Delores became a caregiver for handicapped children, through Clay County Residence. She felt the need for respite care after losing their handicapped son, Timothy, at the age of fourteen. She later continued caring for the elderly for Midwest Home Health.

She is survived by her husband, Irvin; sons, Larry and Steven; daughters, Jeanne (Wayne) Curry and Jodi (Rick Anderson) Leach; grandchildren, Larry Leach and Lana (William) Snyder; sisters, Marlys (Wallace) Holt and Lavonne (Larry) Leach; sisters-in-law, Marilyn Lass and Ione Lass; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; son, Timothy; sisters, Bernetta Bowen and Elaine Goodwin; brothers, Richard, Carl, William and Duane Lass; and sisters-in-law, Florence Lass and Elthea Lass.

Visitation will begin at 1 PM, followed by a memorial service at 2 PM, Tuesday, July 9, 2019, in Trinity Lutheran Church, Sabin.
