David A. Anderson

David A. Anderson, 77, of Moorhead, MN, passed away Monday, June 29, 2026, in his home.

David Alan Anderson was born March 14, 1949, the son of Myrle and Cleora (Frahm) Anderson in Fargo, ND. He was raised in Moorhead where he graduated from Moorhead High School in 1968. Following graduation David began his professional journey working at M & H.

On March 7, 1970, David was united in marriage to Linda Mortenson in Bethlehem Lutheran Church in Fergus Falls, MN. The couple initially lived in Fargo before establishing their home in Moorhead. David dedicated his career as a maintenance technician with Automated Maintenance Services and later with the Moorhead Public Schools. David also worked for the Forum where he delivered newspapers for over 30 years. Linda passed away on November 30, 2025.

David was a committed volunteer with the Boy Scouts of America Northern Lights Council and remained actively involved with the Friends of Wilderness Alumni Association. He was also a passionate collector of cast iron pots and enjoyed intricate world of model trains.

He is survived by his children, Christopher (Christine) Anderson, Hastings, MN and Lisa Karlstad, Fargo, ND; grandchildren, Sean Anderson, Emily Jo Karlstad, Scott David Karlstad, Christopher Anderson, Jr., Riley Anderson and additional grandchildren; his great-grandchildren; brothers, Paul (Kathryn) Anderson and Tom (Gyda) Anderson, both of Moorhead; nieces and nephews also survive.

He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Linda; and sisters, Carole Bauer and Peggy Anderson.

A Gathering of Family and Friends for David will begin at 1:00 PM, Friday, July 10, 2026, followed by a Celebration of His Life at 2:00 PM in the Korsmo Funeral and Cremation Services, Moorhead.
