Curtis N. Gullickson

Curtis N. Gullickson, 69, of Underwood, MN, died Wednesday, October 6, 2021, at Sanford Covid ICU. Curt was born February 24, 1952, to Harold and Irene (Erickson) Gullickson, in Fargo ND. Curt grew up in the Christine, ND, area and graduated from Richland High School.

Curt married Terri Olivieri on October 22, 1999, and as a blended family have four sons together. Curt was a contractor and master carpenter. He could build or remodel anything it seems. If he had a vision of something, he could build it. Curt loved to fish and hunt which resulted in a move to the Ottertail River near Underwood, MN, after retiring and moving back to Minnesota from Denver. However, his annual trek to Colorado to elk hunt in the mountains continued to be a main focus as September approached and the elk were moving; always looking for the big horns. Curt cherished his time with his boys and was a patient teacher for many home projects. His grandchildren loved his rocking chair ability. Star Gate was one of his favorite shows and a cold winter day ensured we were prepared to watch a season with the crock pot full of elk! Curt had a boisterous, contagious laugh that filled a room. He was an exceptional singer as evident by many standing ovations and requests for songs.

Curt is preceded in death by his parents; brother, Roger; sister, Joyce Peterson; nephews, Ralph and Brian Peterson.

Curt is survived by his wife of 22 years; sons, Mason (Melanie), Valley City, ND, Josh (Jennifer), Aurora, CO, Ryan (Claire), Englewood, CO, Hathan (Roberta), Oakville, WA. He is also survived by seven grandchildren and one on the way and several nieces and nephews.

A Life Celebration Gathering with Sharing of Memories will take place on Tuesday, October 12, 2021, at 2 PM, in Korsmo Funeral Chapel.
