Colleen Marie McLaughlin age 68, of Fargo, ND, passed away on November 30, 2020 at Villa Maria in Fargo.

Colleen Marie Swanson was born in Fargo to Orville and Anna (Johanson) Swanson on July 26, 1952. She went to school at Oak Grove in Fargo. On August 14, 1970, Colleen was united in marriage to Richard McLaughlin in Hope Lutheran Church, Fargo. She graduated from North Dakota School of Science in Wahpeton, ND, and went on to become an LPN working at St. Luke's Hospital in downtown Fargo (now Sanford) She also worked at Villa Maria before she retired in 1990 to take care of her grandchildren. Colleen liked to spend time with family and going with Richard to their lake cabin where they toured the lakes area in their own adventures.

Colleen was preceded in death by both of her parents Orville Lawrence Swanson and Anna Caroline Swanson.

Colleen is survived by her husband, Richard McLaughlin; daughters, Kristinia (Ken) Gudgel and Elizabeth (Phillip) Ovitt; brother, O'Dean (Doreen) Swanson; granddaughters, Kyra (John) Goblirsch, Kendra Gudgel, Rylie Cody; grandson, Ryker Cody and great-grandson, Theodore Goblirsch.

A memorial service for Colleen will be held on Friday, December 11, 2020, at 1 PM, in, Korsmo Funeral Chapel, Moorhead, MN. In line with CDC and Minnesota state guidelines, masks and social distancing will be strictly enforced.
