Clark R. Lien, 84, of Moorhead, MN, passed away on Sunday, August 2, 2026, at Sanford Hospice House, Fargo, ND.
Clark Ramon Lien was born April 28, 1942, the son of Philip and Ella (Eidem) Lien, in Fargo, ND. He grew up in the Fargo/Moorhead area and graduated from Moorhead High School and went on to further his education at Dakota Business College. Clark would also honorably serve in the Army National Guard for six years.
On October 2, 1964, Clark was united in marriage to Violet Wamre at Our Savior’s Lutheran Church, Moorhead. Together, they established their home in Moorhead where they raised their family. Clark dedicated thirty-years working at Dakota Bank in Fargo, ND. He would later venture into owning and operating a semi-truck and trailer making runs to Minneapolis hauling grains and fertilizer.
In his leisure time, Clark enjoyed fishing, curated an extensive model train collection, and cherished times spent at the lake. His greatest joy was his family, whom he loved deeply.
Clark will be dearly missed by his wife of 61 years, Violet; son, Daniel (Stephanie) Lien, Moorhead; daughters, Kristine (Andy) Dumas, and DeAnna (Jason) Meyers, both of Moorhead; grandchildren, Brandon, Allison, Phillip, Kylie, Lauren, Matthew, Jonathon and Megan; and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Gloria; and brothers, Denver and Claremont.
A private graveside service for Clark will be held.
We invite you to take a few moments to share fond memories and words of comfort and condolence with Clark’s family in the Guestbook below his obituary.
