Cheryl L. Friese

Cheryl Lynn Friese, 76, of Moorhead, MN, passed away peacefully on January 5, 2026, at the Good Samaritan Society in Lakota, ND.

Born on April 8, 1949, in Fargo, ND, Cheryl was the daughter of Alro and Primrose (Wagner) Friese. She grew up in Moorhead and graduated from Moorhead High School in 1967, after which she attended North Dakota State University in Fargo.

Cheryl dedicated 35 years of her career as a sales associate at Sears. She also briefly worked at Target after her retirement. She was a devoted caregiver to her mother, Primrose, until her passing in 2017.

Though she enjoyed the comforts of home, Cheryl had a keen eye for a good deal and was an avid collector. She found joy in visiting her hairdresser regularly and spent many Saturdays listening to country music on the radio.

Cheryl is preceded in death by her parents and her brother, Bruce. She is survived by dear friends, Sherri Lofgren and Wanda Schneider and Doug Olson and their children, Margaret and Jace.

Her friends would like to extend their heartfelt gratitude to Cornerstone Caregiving and the Good Samaritan Society in Lakota for the compassionate care they provided to Cheryl during her final days.

A private service will be held for Cheryl with burial beside her parents at Riverside Cemetery, Moorhead.
