Caroline A. Thorson

Caroline Ann Chrissis was born February 18, 1928, in Dilworth, MN, to Andrew and Margaret (Erdman) Chrissis. Caroline attended Dilworth High School. She worked two summers at Fairmont Creamery, Moorhead, MN, where she met her husband-to-be, Gordon R. Thorson. On September 25, 1945, they married in Moorhead and they had three children.

Caroline died Wednesday, September 2, 2020, in Sanford Hospice House, Fargo, ND, at ninety-two years of age.

Caroline is survived by her daughter, Andrea (Curt) Winter, Moorhead; sons, Gordon Jr. (Vickie) Thorson, Mound City, KS, and Thomas (Trisha) Thorson, Detroit Lakes, MN. She loved and adored six grandchildren, Scott (Tammy) Winter, Dilworth, Nikki (Dan) Frisch, Moorhead, Jeff (Krista) Thorson, Eudora, KS, Jennifer (Rick) Watson, Parker, CO, Andrew Thorson (special friend, Liz Howerton), Denver, CO, and Joseph Thorson (fiancée, Sidney Erickson), Fargo. She was also blessed with five great-grandchildren, Katelin, Ethan, Grant, Isabella, and Andrew.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; sister, Angeline Tradewell; four brothers, Nick, John, Robert and Gregory Chrissis; and great grandson, Brady Winter.

Caroline's family wishes to extend a heartfelt thanks to all who called, visited and kept Caroline in their prayers. Also to Barb Winter and the staff of the Sanford Fargo Hospice House for taking care of her and keeping her comfortable.

Visitation will begin at 12 PM, with a Life Celebration Service at 2 PM, Tuesday, September 8, 2020, in Korsmo Funeral Chapel, Moorhead. Burial will take place in Sunset Memorial Gardens, Fargo.
