Carol I. Hanson, 82, Fargo, ND, died Thursday, April 16, 2020, in Eventide Fargo.
Carol Irene Meyer, the daughter of Clara and Edward Meyer, was born on November 1, 1937, in Devils Lake, ND. She attended school in Devils Lake and graduated from St. Mary's High School in 1956. She married Neil Zimmerman in 1956 and they had three daughters, Cheri, Dawn, and Stephanie.
Carol worked for many in retail sales of women's clothing at Black's, JC Penney, and Herberger's, to name a few. She loved reading and animals, especially her dogs and cats.
In 1999, Carol married David Hanson. They lived in Moorhead, MN, and later Fargo.
She was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers and three sisters. She is survived by her husband, Dave, Fargo; three daughters, Cheri Bladholm, Minneapolis, MN, Dawn (Ed) Hoy, Post Falls, ID, and Stephanie Childress, Farmington, MN; grandchildren, Troy (Sarah) Bladholm, Erika Bladholm, and Danielle Bladholm; and great-grandchildren, Odin and Levi Bladholm.
Memorials preferred to Homeward Animal Shelter, 1201 28th Avenue North, Fargo, ND 58102.
A Memorial Service will be held on Friday, July 17, 2020, at 11 AM in Hope Lutheran Church, North Campus, in Fargo.
Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery, Fargo.
