Breanne R. Nygaard

Breanne R. Nygaard, 22, St. Paul, MN, formerly of Pahrump, NV, died Friday, May 23, 2025, near Orono, MN.

With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of our daughter Breanne Rae Nygaard, She was born November 25, 2002, in Henderson, NV, to Steve and Nora (Wagner) Nygaard. She attended Floyd Elementary School, Rosemary Clarke Middle School, and graduated from Pahrump Valley High School in 2021. She was baptized and confirmed in Our Lady of the Valley Catholic Church in Pahrump. Breanne excelled academically throughout school, participating in golf and basketball, where she eventually found her passion for golf. This passion led Breanne on a journey to the University of St.Thomas while pursuing a major in Business Law.

Breanne was a true ray of sunshine, lighting up every room with her bubbly personality and contagious laugh. Whether she was perfecting her golf swing, crocheting her latest project, baking sweet treats, or enjoying a fun shopping spree.

Her love for her family extended deeply to her beloved dogs (Spud and Bamboo), who were a constant source of comfort and companionship. She had a way of making everyone feel at ease and valued, always quick with a smile and a kind word, and a laugh that would lift anyone's spirits.

While attending St. Thomas, Breanne made many lifelong friends. She spoke often and fondly of their get-togethers, their adventures, and chats about pursuing their dreams.

Though her time with us was far too short, her legacy of laughter, love and light will live on in the hearts of all who had the privilege of knowing her.

She is survived by her parents, Steve and Nora Nygaard; one brother, Carter Nygaard; aunts and uncles, Shawn (Sarah) Nygaard, Stacey (Tom) Spellman, Mary (Jim) Buechler, Lee (Al) Burgad, Sandy (Joe) Horner, Elaine (Perry) Horner, and Donna VanBeek; grandparents, Richard Nygaard, Magnus and Ann Wagner; and many cousins.

She was preceded in death by her grandmothers, Agatha Wagner and TaeSun Nygaard.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held Friday, June 6, 2025, at 10AM in Sts. Anne and Joachim Catholic Church, Fargo, ND. Breanne will be laid to rest in Oak Grove Cemetery, Detroit Lakes, MN.
