Bradley J. Witzke

d. December 14, 2024

Moorhead, MN

Bradley Joseph Witzke, 52, of Moorhead, MN, passed away peacefully in his home. He was cared for by Sanford Hospice, Helping Hands Care and by dear friends.

Brad remained steadfast and positive even though cancer wreaked havoc on him several times over the years.

Brad grew up in Lake Park, MN and Perham, MN. Son of Cliff and Judy Witzke. He graduated from Perham High School and attended Minnesota State University of Moorhead.

Brad spent the majority of his time crafting his skills of building with his hands. It was second nature to him.

Brad was proud to have a son, Parker, and dearly loved his family and friends. With many siblings there was never a dull moment for Brad. He loved deer hunting on the farm in Perham, fishing with his brothers and was very charismatic. He lit up the room with his presence and once a prankster always a prankster.

Brad was a very proud member of Northview Church in Fargo, ND. He lived for his Saturday men’s group, Sunday prayer group and Sunday Service. Brad’s faith and church gave him renewed strength. He was so proud to bring his siblings to his church. He truly had a second family with all his friends there.

Often Brad would end his calls with his family by saying “Goodbye forever.” Its not goodbye forever, only goodbye for now. We will all miss you terribly.

Brad is survived by his son, Parker Lubitz; siblings, Kim (Chris) Bristlin, Kevin Mahoney (missing for 30 years), Michele (Brad) Elsenpeter, Dana (Randy) Berggren, Darren Fredrickson, Nicole Simonson, Jason (Sara) Witzke, and many nieces and nephews.

Brad was preceded in death by his parents, Cliff Witzke and Judy Simonson; grandparents, Eunice Kinnen, Jospeh and Ester Witzke; aunt, Audrey Snyder; and uncle, Dale Witzke.

There will be a celebration of life held by his family in the Spring/Summer of 2025 for all to attend.

A special thank you to all who walked this journey with Brad.
