A beautiful soul descended into this world when Bill was born. He was born in Fairview, Montana. Son to Wanda Tollefsen and Fred Lester. Brother to Tim, Scott, Robert and April.
As a child he was adventurous. As a young man he proudly served in the Navy and went on to become a father to six wonderful children: Adam, Ryan, Jared, Kara, Ester and Abraham and two grandchildren.
He was married to Elizabeth Lester. Their love crossed continents and home was with each other; the beginning of endless love.
Bill loved to serve his Father in Heaven and did his best to live by righteous principles. He found fulfillment and meaning in life by providing and caring for his family.
He enjoyed fishing, hunting, tools and experiencing new places. He loved going for drives. “You’re never lost, it’s just the longer route taken,” he would always say.
Bill was a hard worker from childhood to the very last day his body allowed him to.
He saw the best in people and gave us a chance to become better people and experience happiness in this mortal life.
He was to us the Epitome of Love. The meaning of Beauty and happiness! He was such a peaceful being!
He was a funny and happy man. His level of kindness exceeded, and I know he is loved fervently by his Father in Heaven who took great care of him and answered his prayers while he was with us.
He was strong and comforting in life’s journey and made life for those around him easier. He was a courageous fighter and an optimist to the very last day when he departed from us.
Although you are in a better and happier place, we will always love and miss you, Bill. The son, father, husband and best friend you were to us, is unreplaceable, unmatched and sacred.
The Lord promises us that Families can be together forever and with faith we await to behold you again! As the children’s hymn notes:
“Families can be together forever.
Through Heavenly Father's plan.
I always want to be with my own family,
And the Lord has shown me how I can.
The Lord has shown me how I can.”
THANK YOU FOR LOVING US THE WAY YOU DID, BILL!
