Beverly Johnson

Beverly A. Johnson, 83, formerly of West Fargo, ND, died Friday, June 16, 2017, at home in Inver Grove Heights, MN, under the care of Allina Hospice.

Beverly Ann Kilde, the daughter of Olaf and Annie (Thompson) Kilde, was born on October 28, 1933, in Dalton, MN. She graduated from Barnesville (MN) High School in 1951. She received her training as a registered nurse at Lutheran Deaconess Hospital School of Nursing, in Minneapolis, MN, and graduated in 1954.

On July 16, 1955, Bev was united in marriage to Norman E. Johnson, in Fargo, ND. They eventually made their home in West Fargo. Bev worked as an RN in St. Luke's Hospital and Elim Care Center, both in Fargo, and in the Rolette Community Hospital, Rolette, ND. She also worked at deLendrecies Department Store in Fargo.

In retirement, the couple moved to the Twin Cities, to be near their daughter.

Bev is survived by her husband, Norman, of Inver Grove Heights; daughters, Charlene (Michael) Kreider, Jefferson, GA, and Colleen (Jonathan) Pudwill, Eagan, MN; two sisters, Norma Niacaris, Oakdale, CA, and Marilyn Torres, San Francisco, CA; grandchildren, Derek (Catalina) Kreider, Andrew (Lana), David (Natali) and James Pudwill, and Alicia Shoemake; and great-grandchildren, Alexander and Lenka Pudwill, Asher and Avery Shoemake, and Elin and Atticus Kreider. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Donita; her parents; and a brother, Donald Kilde.

Visitation will be Wednesday 5 PM to 7 PM, Korsmo Funeral Chapel, Moorhead, MN. The funeral service will be Thursday, July 6, 2017, at 11 AM, at Bethel Evangelical Free Church, Fargo. Burial will follow at the Barnesville City Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations preferred to a ministry of your choice.
