Autumn Dawn Dinnel

August 18, 1976 — December 23, 2025

Moorhead

Autumn Dawn Wokasch, born on August 18, 1976, in Perham, MN, to James and Marie (Kinnen) Wokasch, passed away after a brave battle with lymphoma. She grew up cherishing the beauty of Round Lake between Ottertail and Perham, where she cultivated a love for nature that would stay with her throughout her life.

A graduate of Perham High School in 1994, Autumn was a dedicated student, actively participating in her school choir, yearbook staff, and FFA. It was during these formative years that she met the love of her life, Steve Dinnel. Together, they welcomed their first son, Austin, in the same year. Autumn embraced motherhood with determination while pursuing her education and work.

She began her academic journey at Fergus Falls Community College before transferring to Moorhead State University, where she majored in Chemistry with a minor in Biology. Her commitment to her studies was matched by her work ethic, as she also held a position at Kohl’s during her college years. Upon completing her education, she took on professional roles at Pracs Institute and later served as a senior scientist at Aldevron in Fargo, contributing to significant studies in gene therapies.

Beyond her professional accomplishments, Autumn found joy in the great outdoors. She loved hiking, camping, and capturing the beauty of nature through photography. Her adventurous spirit led her on many vacations to explore National and State Parks, with her final trip being to Acadia National Park in Maine in October 2025.

Autumn is survived by her loving husband, Steven, and their two sons, Austin and Isaiah. She is also mourned by her parents-in-law, Rick and Nancy Dinnel, and her brothers-in-law, Nathan (Jackie Giefer) Dinnel and Michael (Stephanie) Dinnel. She was preceded in death by her beloved parents, James and Marie Wokasch.

As we remember Autumn, we celebrate her life filled with love, dedication, and a profound appreciation for the beauty around us. She will be deeply missed.

A time to remember Autumn will be held at a later date.
