A.P. "Pat" Wagner

A.P. "Pat" Wagner, 91, of Fargo, ND, died Thursday, May 2, 2019, in Sanford Medical Center, Fargo.
Avalo Pat Wagner was born September 30, 1927, to Ralph and Bessie (Chadduck) Wagner in Jamestown, ND. He attended school in Jamestown through the 8th Grade. On September 18, 1945, Pat enlisted in the Navy and was honorably discharged on August 19, 1946. He then moved back to Jamestown where he met Alice Moser.
Pat and Alice were married on November 30, 1948, in Jamestown. Pat worked as a lineman for the phone company for a short time while there. After their first child, Sue, was born they moved to Fargo where their second child, Nancy, was born. Pat worked at Selland Motors as a mechanic for 47 years before retiring at the age of 70.
Pat enjoyed hunting, golfing, bowling, conversations with friends and neighbors, watching Bison football, and playing cards. He continued some of his pastimes through retirement. He loved time with his grandkids and great-grandkids. He was loved by them and many others and will be deeply missed.
Pat is survived by his children, Sue (Dan) Ortiz of Anthem, AZ and Nancy (Jeff) Olson of Fargo; grandchildren, Raymond (Danielle) Ortiz, Steven (Jennifer) Ortiz, and Shane Olson; great-grandchildren, Phoenix Ortiz, Lyla Ortiz, and Khloe, Marek, and Leah Olson. Pat was preceded in death by his loving wife of 60 years, Alice (2008); great-granddaughter, Emma Olson; and brother, Burt.
Funeral service for Pat will be Tuesday, May 7, 2019, at 2 PM in Korsmo Funeral Chapel, Moorhead, MN, with a visitation one hour prior. Interment will be in Riverside Cemetery, Fargo.
