A. Jean Radtke

Agnes "Jean" (Harshfield) Radtke was born February 7, 1933, in Fargo, ND, and she passed away peacefully in Marana, AZ, December 20, 2018.

Jean graduated from high school in Brookings, SD, and then South Dakota State University, where she received her nursing degree. She met and married Marlin "Mike" Radtke in 1955.

Jean was a public health and school nurse in Fargo and Billings, MT. Mike worked as a manager and pharmacist for Osco Buttrey Food and Drug stores. After they retired in Billings, they moved to Potato Lake, in Park Rapids, MN. They also had a home in Marana where they would spend time in the winter months. Her best times were spent with family and friends, and watching sunsets at Potato Lake.

Jean and Mike had five children, Michele (Rick) Pender, Michael Radtke, Karen (Tim) Ewers, Kirk Radtke, and Gary Radtke. She is survived by four of her children, Michele, Michael, Kirk, and Gary; a sister, Diane Ostrander; six grandchildren; three step-grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren; and many friends.

She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Mike; daughter, Karen Ewers; brothers, Dr. Richard Harshfield, and Loren Harshfield; and her parents, Dr. Gerald and Beulah Harshfield. She will be missed. Jean was a very loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother.

Friends may gather Friday, June 28, 2019, from 11 AM to 1 PM, in Korsmo Funeral Chapel, Moorhead.
