Virginia Renneke

Virginia Ann Turnbull was born June 12, 1937, in Perham, MN, to Howard and Carmel (Carlson) Turnbull. She was raised in Frazee, MN.

Virginia married the love of her life, Milton Renneke, October 2, 1956, in Webster, SD. In 1977, they were blessed with the birth of their daughter, Sherry Leigh. She shared many happy years with Milton until he passed away in 1985. She loved traveling with Milton while he was serving in the US Army, which included living in Texas, Thailand, and Germany on two occasions.

Virginia loved anything crafty, usually sewing, and would always be working on some kind of project. She also enjoyed her word searches and fill-it-in books. Christmas was her favorite holiday and she loved everything about it. She also loved to bake, which is a trait she passed on to her daughter.

Virginia passed away peacefully, on Monday, July 23, 2018, at Eventide on Eighth, Moorhead, MN, at eighty-one years of age.

She is survived by her daughter, Sherry, Moorhead; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and little sister, Kay.

Visitation will be Monday, July 30, 2018, from 1 - 3 PM, with a Celebration of Life service at 3 PM, in Korsmo Funeral Chapel, Moorhead.

Burial will take place in Fort Snelling National Cemetery at a later date.
